Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“you”, “your”) and consuliq Sarl (registration pending) (“consuliq”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales. By accessing or using consuliq.com (the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or otherwise using the Platform, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. Your continued use of the Platform following any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Service Description

consuliq is an AI-powered career intelligence platform. The Platform provides:

  • Career assessments: AI-generated scoring and analysis of your career profile, strengths, and development areas.
  • Career briefs: Personalised strategic documents summarising your career positioning and opportunities.
  • Job matching: AI-driven job recommendations based on your profile, preferences, and market data.
  • Toolkit tools: Specialist AI tools including salary benchmarking, interview preparation, CV analysis, networking strategy, and other career development utilities.
  • Chat: Conversational AI assistant for career-related guidance and exploration.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time, with reasonable notice where practicable.

3. User Accounts

To use the Platform, you must create an account using Google or LinkedIn OAuth authentication. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current information during registration.
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials and OAuth connections.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscription Tiers

The Platform offers the following subscription tiers:

  • Free: Access to core career assessment features with limited toolkit usage.
  • Pro (£14.99/month): Full access to all toolkit tools, enhanced AI analysis, priority job matching, advanced analytics, unlimited toolkit usage, and premium support.

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled in accordance with our refund policy and applicable consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days’ notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or crawlers to access, extract, or collect data from the Platform.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform.
  • Redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit any content, data, or outputs generated by the Platform without our prior written consent.
  • Use the Platform to harass, abuse, or harm others, or to transmit unlawful, defamatory, or offensive content.
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any access controls, usage limits, or security measures.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
  • Use the Platform in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our servers or infrastructure.
  • Use outputs from the Platform to discriminate against any individual in employment, housing, or other protected areas.

Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without notice.

6. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, code, branding, algorithms, AI prompts, and documentation, is the intellectual property of consuliq Sarl (registration pending) and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws of England and Wales and international treaties.

You retain full ownership of any personal data, career information, and content you provide to the Platform (“Your Content”). By using the Platform, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the service.

AI-generated outputs (career briefs, toolkit results, chat responses) are provided for your personal use. You may use these outputs for your own career development purposes but may not resell or redistribute them commercially.

7. AI-Generated Content

The Platform uses artificial intelligence, including large language models provided by third parties, to generate career assessments, recommendations, scores, and other outputs. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated content is advisory only and does not constitute professional career advice, legal advice, financial advice, or any form of guaranteed outcome.
  • AI outputs may contain inaccuracies, biases, or errors. You should independently verify any information before relying on it for important decisions.
  • Career scores, fit percentages, salary estimates, and similar metrics are indicative assessments based on available data and AI modelling — they are not guarantees of employment outcomes, earnings, or career progression.
  • We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.
  • You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on the Platform’s outputs.

8. Data Processing

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. For full details on data collection, legal bases, retention periods, international transfers, and your data rights, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

9. Third-Party Services

The Platform integrates with and relies upon third-party services to deliver its functionality. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Anthropic: AI model provider for career assessments, toolkit tools, and chat functionality.
  • Job search APIs: Third-party employment data providers for job matching and market intelligence.
  • Glassdoor: Company reviews and salary data for benchmarking and employer insights.
  • Stripe: Secure payment processing for subscription billing.

Your use of the Platform may be subject to the terms and policies of these third-party providers. We are not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of third-party services. Data shared with third-party providers is governed by our Privacy Policy and the respective provider’s data processing agreements.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977:

  • The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • consuliq Sarl (registration pending) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, employment opportunities, or business advantage, arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.
  • Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees paid by you to consuliq in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time:

  • By you: You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your subscription (if any) will be cancelled and your personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy and GDPR obligations.
  • By us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, or with 30 days’ notice for any other reason.

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. We will delete your personal data within 30 days of account deletion, in accordance with our data retention schedule set out in the Privacy Policy and our obligations under the UK GDPR. You may request a copy of your data before deletion by using the export feature in Settings or by contacting team@consuliq.com.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice via email or in-app notification before the revised Terms take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly.

Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you must stop using the Platform and delete your account before the revised Terms take effect.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in the courts of the country in which you reside, and nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable law.
